What is Revia?

Revia is an opioid blocker that is used for the treatment of addiction.

Important information:

It is possible to be allergic to this drug or the inactive ingredients in the tablet.

Before taking this medicine:

Tell your doctor if you have used opiates in the last two weeks, or if you have kidney or liver disease.

How should I take Revia?

One 50 mg tablet by mouth once a day is the usual dose for treatment of alcoholism and opiate addiction.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Take the next dose at its regularly scheduled time.

What happens if I overdose?

Revia has low toxicity, but in case of a large overdose you should call the local poison control center for instructions.

What should I avoid while taking It?

Alcohol and opioid drugs should be avoided. Avoid driving if the drug causes drowsiness.

Revia side effects:

Revia may produce dizziness, allergic reactions, stomach upset, rapid heartbeat and confusion.

Revia dosing information:

Revia is available in 50 mg tablets that are taken by mouth once a day.

What other drugs will affect Revia?

Opioids, methadone and some over-the-counter cough medications will interact with Revia.
