Rohypnol

What is rohypnol?

A benzodiazepine used as a hypnotic, sedative, and muscle relaxant drug. Rohypnol is also referred to as “roofies”.

Important information:

Rohypnol is intended as a short-term treatment for insomnia. It’s also illegally used for recreation, suicide, sexual assault and robbery.

Before taking this medicine:

You should be aware that using rohypnol can lead to drug dependence, overdose and other negative effects.

How should I take rohypnol?

Unless you have a prescription from a physician, you should not take rohypnol.

What happens if I miss a dose?

If you are an insomniac who uses rohypnol, you may be unable to sleep. It can also cause withdrawal symptoms if you are dependent.

What happens if I overdose?

Contact your local medical emergency if you suspect an overdose. Symptoms can include extreme intoxication, slurred speech, inability to walk, slow breathing rate, coma or death.

What should I avoid while taking rohypnol?

Do not perform high functioning activities such as driving.

Rohypnol side effects:

Drowsiness, confusion, loss of consciousness, dizziness, disinhibition, slurred speech.

Rohypnol dosing information:

Just 1 mg dose can strongly affect a person.

What other drugs with affect rohypnol?

Alcohol can cause further impairment.
