What is Naltrexone?

Naltrexone helps to prevent further drug abuse by prior addicts.

Important information:

It is part of a large treatment for drug abuse, but should not be taken by people who are currently using opiates.

How should I take Naltrexone?

Take orally with a glass of water and some food to avoid an upset stomach.

What happens if I overdose?

Overdoses cause complications such as stomach pain, dizziness or nausea. Seek medical attention immediately if you believe you have overdosed.

What should I avoid while taking Naltrexone?

Avoid driving when possible, and never use narcotic drugs.

Naltrexone side effects:

Side effects include wheezing, rapid heartbeat, hallucinations, skin rash, blurry vision, and a variety of other complications.

What other drugs will affect Naltrexone?

Tylenol, Demerol, Revex, Stadol and Oxycodone will affect Naltrexone.
