What is GHB?

y-Hydroxybutanoic acid, an anesthetic used to treat depression, insomnia, narcolepsy and alcoholism.

Important information:

While it is used for medical purposes, it can also be used illegally for recreation. It is also known as a date rape drug.

How should I take GHB?

GHB is usually ingested orally, either through powder or liquid form.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Long-term GHB use can cause withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, insomnia and tremors.

What happens if I overdose?

Signs of overdose includes respiratory depression, very slow heart rate, and convulsions. If you suspect an overdose, contact your local medical emergency line.

What should I avoid while taking GHB?

GHB mixed with other drugs and alcohol can cause respiratory depression.

GHB side effects:

Euphoria, tranquility, nausea, vomiting, delusions, loss of consciousness, seizures, slow heart rate, amnesia, depression and confusion.

GHB dosing information:

A normal dosing is .5 grams to 2.5 grams. A dosage over 5-10 grams can lead to overdose or poisoning.

What other drugs will affect GHB?

Mixing GHB with alcohol or other depressants can be dangerous.
