Orlaam

What is Orlaam?

Orlaam or levacetylmethadol, levomethadyl acetate and levo-a-acetylmethadol is a white synthetic opioid crystalline powdered drug usually prescribed in generic form.

Important information:

For opioid addiction only. Can be fatal if used incorrectly.

Before taking Orlaam:

Check for any heart or respiratory illnesses prior to Orlaam usage.

How should I take Orlaam?

A physician administers thrice weekly for the treatment of addiction.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Re-introduce 1/2 or 3/4 of initial dose. Increase by 5-10 mg every 48-72 hours or according to doctor’s instruction.

What happens if I overdose?

Respiratory depression, constricted pupils, cardiac arrest, coma pulmonary edema and death are possible. A clear airway is critical where vomiting may ensue.

What to Avoid While taking Orlaam?

Avoid sedatives, antidepressants, alcohol, tranquilizers, propoxyphene, opioids and benzodiazepines.

Orlaam side effects:

Side effects can include constipation, joint pain, sweating, insomnia, weakness, abdominal pain, malaise, nervousness, impotence and ejaculation difficulties.

Orlaam dosing information:

Begin with approximately 20 to 40 mg three times a week. Do not take daily.

What Other Drugs Affect Orlaam?

Use caution with microsomal enzyme inducers and inhibitors, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, anesthesia and analgesia, narcotic antagonists, partial agonists, pure agonists and mixed agonists.
