Lorcet

what is Lorcet?

A drug supplied as a tablet consisting of 10 mg hydrocodone, which is an opioid painkiller medication derived from codeine, and 650 mg acetaminophen, which is a non-opiate analgesic.

Important information:

Hydrocodone can cause tolerance and dependency.

Before taking this medicine:

Make sure your physician is aware of all medical conditions and medications you are taking, as well as of any recent surgeries or pregnancies.

How should I take Lorcet?

Tablets should be swallowed as directed, not chewed.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Take missed dose when remembered, but do not double dose.

What happens if I overdose?

Contact poison control center, induce vomiting and administer activated charcoal.

What should I avoid while taking Lorcet?

Driving automobiles or operating machinery should be avoided until familiar with its effects.

Lorcet side effects:

Lightheadedness, dizziness, sedation, respiratory depression, constipation, nausea, vomiting, anxiety, dependence, and mood changes.

Lorcet dosing information:

Typically one tablet every four to six hours or as needed.

What other drugs will affect Lorcet?

Other narcotics, antipsychotics, anxiolytics, alcohol, antihistamines, MAOI’s and tricyclic antidepressants.
