What is Librium?

Librium is primarily used to treat anxiety and acute alcohol withdrawal.

Important information:

If you are sensitive or allergic to chlordiazepoxide, you should not take Librium. Those who suffer from lung disease or have trouble breathing should also avoid taking Librium.

How should I take Librium?

Avoid taking Librium with alcohol. This medicine should be taken before or during a meal.

What happens if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, simply take your next scheduled dose. Do not double your dosage to make up for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

If you take more than the recommended dosage, contact your doctor immediately.

What should I avoid while taking Librium?

Avoid alcohol and do operate machinery while taking Librium.

Side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, nausea and headaches.

For anxiety, take 10 to 30 mg per day.
