What is Kadian?

Kadian is an opioid medication used to treat moderate to severe pain.

Before taking this medicine:

Tell your doctor if you have any respiratory conditions, history with brain injury, tumors or seizure, a history of drug abuse, mental illness, urination issues, liver or kidney disease, or issues with your gallbladder, thyroid or pancreas.

How should I take Kadian?

Follow your doctor’s instruction.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Take the next dose when you remember. Do not take double the dose if you forget.

What happens if I overdose?

A morphine overdose is dangerous, so you should contact a medical emergency line immediately. Overdose signs are severe drowsiness, dizziness, slow heart rate, slow breathing rate, and fainting.

What should I avoid while taking Kadian?

Avoid kadian if you have an allergic reaction to morphine, severe asthma, or blockage in your stomach and intestines.

Kadian side effects:

Weight loss, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, sleep problems and memory problems.

Kadian dosing information:

Consult your doctor and carefully read the prescription label for the right amount of dosage.

What other drugs will affect Kadian?

Do not mix this with other drugs that make you sleepy, such as alcohol, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, and medication that treats anxiety or depression.
