How should I take Dextroamphetamine?

Dextroamphetamine is taken by mouth in capsule or liquid form.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Take it when you remember. If you are going to bed soon, skip it, as the drug will prevent sleep.

What happens if I overdose?

An overdose is an emergency. Call 911 or your local poison control center.

What should I avoid while taking Dextroamphetamine?

Avoid food or drink that contains vitamin C; it will interfere with the absorption of the drug. Avoid driving if the drug confuses your thoughts.

Dextroamphetamine side effects:

Dextroamphetamine often causes insomnia, weight loss and lowered libido. Fewer people experience respiratory distress, hallucinations and aggression.

Dextroamphetamine dosing information:

Dextroamphetamine use typically begins with 10 mg once a day, adjusted upward until an effective dose is determined.

What other drugs will affect Dextroamphetamine?

Antacids, antidepressants, blood pressure regulators and many other drugs and supplements will interact with dextroamphetamine.
