What is Darvocet?

Darvocet is a mixture of the opioid dextropropoxyphene and acetaminophen, used to manage mild pain.

How should I take Darvocet?

Take darvocet as prescribed by your doctor. In the event of an overdose, seek medical attention immediately.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Resume taking darvocet at the next scheduled time. Do not take a double dose.

What happens if I overdose?

An overdose of darvocet is potentially fatal. Possible complications include liver poisoning, respiratory failure, loss of consciousness, and extreme emotional distress.

What should I avoid while taking Darvocet?

Do not drink alcohol while taking Darvocet. Avoid any other medications that contain acetaminophen or cause drowsiness.

Drowsiness, constipation, depressed mood.

Darvocet dosing information:

A typical dose contains between 50 and 100 mg of dextropropoxyphene and about 600 mg of acetaminophen.
