Zolpidem
What is Zolpidem?
Zolpidem treats insomnia. Brand names for zolpidem include Ambien, Zolpimist, Intermezzo and Edluar. Zolpidem comes in immediate-release and extended-release form.
Important information:
Do not purchase zolpidem from the internet or outside vendors. Zolpidem acquired from internet sales have been found to contain dangerous ingredients.
Before taking this medicine:
Individuals sensitive to lactose should not take zolpidem. Individuals should tell a doctor if they have a history of conditions such as substance addiction, kidney disease, myasthenia gravis and sleep apnea. Since it is unclear if zolpidem affects unborn children, women should tell their doctor if they plan to become pregnant or are pregnant before taking this medicine.

Sublingual Tablets: (Edluar) 5mg for women, 5-10 mg for men and 5mg for older adults; (Intermezzo) 1.75 mg for women, 3.5 for men and 1.75 mg for older adults
What other drugs will affect Zolpidem?
Pain medications, muscle relaxants, cold medicine, medications for depression, seizures and anxiety should not be taken with zolpidem. A doctor should be consulted before taking over-the-counter and prescription medicines along with herbal products and supplements.
